Mission

The primary objectives of the section are:

• to promote the advance of consultation-liaison (C-L) psychiatry and psychosomatics scientific knowledge and clinical practice by:

1. promoting the management of patients with psychiatric disorders and psychological problems in medical settings,
2. developing and encouraging training and practice in C-L psychiatry and psychosomatics of the highest standard for trainee psychiatrists, medical undergraduates and students of related mental health professions,
3. providing a forum for presentation, dissemination and discussion of scientific problems in C-L psychiatry and psychosomatics through organisation of meetings, conferences, workshops and publications as well as for the exchange of ideas and knowledge,

• to interest and inform the general community concerning C-L psychiatry and psychosomatics issues and particularly to promote a clear understanding of the subject,
• to exchange information among the members of the association.
