The 18th European Congress of Psychiatry was organised from 27 February to 2 March 2010 in Munich, Germany, under the presidency of Professor Hans-Jürgen Möller, EPA President. It was attended by nearly 3500 participants. To view the congress photo gallery, please click here.

The 15th Symposium of the EPA Epidemiology and Social Psychiatry Section is under preparation in collaboration with the EPA Cultural Psychiatry Section and will take place in Bergen, Norway, from 16 to 19 June 2010.

The winner of the European BMS Prevention Award in Psychiatry 2010 is Dan Rujescu from University of Munich, Department of Psychiatry, Germany. He was awarded for his work “Genetics of schizophrenia” at the opening ceremony of the 18th European Congress of Psychiatry on 27 February 2010 in Munich.

The EPA Young Psychiatrists Committee is doing a study on difficulties and perspectives related to psychiatric training residency. In order to collect information, any young psychiatrist or trainee is invited to participate in the survey by clicking here.

In addition to the EPA European Platform of Psychiatrists organized every year to increase its cooperation with National Psychiatric Associations, EPA has decided, through a change of its statutes, to offer the possibility to national and international psychiatric associations to become EPA Corporate Members.
