The task of the Committee is to evaluate the CME courses proposed for inclusion in the scientific programme of the annual European Congress of Psychiatry and to advise the proponents about possible integrations or amendments.
In the past, the work of the Committee, formally known as the CME Evaluation Committee, has been crucial in the development of the courses delivered at the latest congresses held in Stockholm (2002), Geneva (2004), Munich (2005), Nice (2006), Madrid (2007), Nice (2008), Lisbon (2009) and in the successful implementation of the EPA Itinerant Courses Programme throughout Europe and Middle-East.
