European Psychiatry is the official journal of the EPA.
This journal presents the results of original research relative to those domains which are presently of interest to psychiatry: psychopathology, nosography, chemotherapy, psychotherapy, clinical methodology, biological disorders and mental pathology, psychophysiology, neuropsychology, as well as animal behavior. This wide scope, emphasizing the publication of original articles, is aimed at encouraging the exchange of ideas and research within Europe, and establishing an improved level of scientific communication within the international psychiatric community.
European Psychiatry endeavours not only to publish original, high-level scientific articles, short communications and editorials, but also letters to the editor, EPA newsletters, book reviews, information on new regulations in Europe and conference calendars.

The 2017 impact factor for the journal is 4.129, ranking 29th out of 142 international psychiatry journals.
