The EPA represented at the Congress of the Polish Psychiatric Association

At the recent congress of the Polish Psychiatric Association in Krakow (4-8 September 2025), the EPA was represented at the highest level. The President, Prof. Andrea Fiorillo, the Past-President, Prof. Geert Dom, Ethics Committee member and former EPA President, Prof. Silvana Galderisi and Committee on Ethics member and former Secretary for Sections Prof Jerzy Samochowiec, all took part, underscoring the strong ties between the EPA and the Polish psychiatric community. Their participation highlighted the importance of international collaboration in shaping the future of psychiatry.

The EPA leaders shared insights on the Association’s priorities, including its newly launched Action Plan 2025–2027, “Leaving No One Behind”, which focuses on harmonizing standards of care, addressing workforce challenges, strengthening ethics, and promoting innovative approaches to mental health. Their presence in Poland reflected the EPA’s commitment to building bridges across Europe, advancing personalized and holistic mental health care, and ensuring that no one is left behind in the evolving landscape of psychiatric care.
