EPA Commemorates World Mental Health Day 2026

The EPA is pleased to commemorate World Mental Health Day and celebrate this year’s theme: lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.

Meaningful progress in psychiatric care and mental health policy relies on grounding our clinical practice in the reality of the patient experience. Integrating real voices into research, healthcare leadership, and policy design ensures that support systems reflect true clinical needs and drive authentic systemic change. Elevating lived experience goes beyond listening. It requires structural integration, evidence-based policy, and a commitment across the global psychiatric community to ensure these insights actively shape the future of mental healthcare.
