EPA joins Sleep Health Europe Coalition
The EPA is pleased to announce that it has joined the Sleep Health Europe Coalition.
The Coalition gathers voices and associations from across sleep science, healthcare, advocacy, and civil society. The EPA is proud to represent the psychiatry community as part of this alliance that includes our partners at the European Brain Council (EBC) and the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS).
EPA President, Prof. Andrea Fiorillo states, “by joining the Sleep Health Europe Coalition, the EPA is reinforcing its commitment to making sleep health a public health priority. Sleep matters across the lifespan – from childhood to old age – and is key to mental health, prevention, and recovery.” The importance of sleep as part of brain and mental health across the lifespan is recognised in the EPA Action Plan 2025-2027.
The EPA, ESRS, and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) have also partnered to organise the Joint Webinar on Sleep as a Lifestyle Factor for Mental Health across the Lifespan on Friday, 20 March 2026, from 16:30 to 17:30 CET. The webinar will be co-moderated by EPA Past President, Prof. Geert Dom. We encourage anyone interested to register to this free and open online event.
The EPA will participate at the Sleep Health Europe Coalition Launch Event, hosted by MEP Tiemo Wölken, at the European Parliament in Brussels on 5 March 2026.
