PsyPal invites Clinicians to support Patient Recruitment for Psilocybin Therapy
The EPA is a proud partner of PsyPal, an EU-funded trial working to fill an important care gap for individuals with palliative care needs. In four European countries, we’re investigating whether psilocybin therapy can support the management of depressive symptoms among individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or Atypical Parkinsonism and Advanced Parkinson’s Disease. PsyPal is led by an international team of researchers, doctors, and European healthcare organisations. We know that people with life-limiting illnesses often have unmet psychological needs and may feel depressed during their care. As the first EU-funded clinical trial in psychedelics, we are at the forefront of advancing evidence-based research into psilocybin therapy and its potential to meet mental health needs.
More indications per site
Until recently, each of our four sites were equipped to include individuals from only one of the populations listed for the trial. A new amendment now enables sites to recruit across conditions, so PsyPal can reach more people with mental health struggles due to life-limiting illnesses. Our sites and populations are listed below:
