The EPA congratulates Dr Cécile Hanon on receiving the Légion d’honneur

The EPA is proud of its members and of the exceptional contributions they bring to Psychiatry. Our community is at the heart of the Association, and we take joy in celebrating the achievements of our colleagues.
It is therefore with great pride and delight that we share the news that Dr Cécile Hanon, long-standing EPA member and Secretary for Education, has been awarded the Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur, the highest French order of merit. The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, at AP-HP – Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris, where the honour was conferred by Monsieur Nicolas Revel, Directeur général de l’Assistance Publique.
This prestigious recognition celebrates Dr Hanon’s outstanding service to Psychiatry, her dedication to education, and her tireless efforts to improve the patient care, especially in old-age Psychiatry. For many years, she has played an essential role in the life of the EPA, shaping our educational vision and supporting our members across Europe.
The EPA warmly congratulates Dr Hanon on this exceptional and well-deserved honour!
