13th Summer School
Programme
The EPA 2024 Summer School will take place from 12 to 15 September 2024 at the European Youth Center in Strasbourg, France and will offer a blended learning programme focusing on Suicidal Behaviours.
Over 3 training days, participants will gain theoretical knowledge about suicidal behaviours during plenary sessions, including discussions on the management of suicidal crises, therapeutic innovations, and prevention strategies. This will be a unique experience to practice their skills through workshops, simulation techniques and role play scenarios.
This event is organized under the auspices of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Ms Marija Pejčinović Burić. A guided visit of the European Parliament will be organised on Thursday 12 September for all scholars.
Faculty
Selected participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with world’s leading experts in the field of suicidology:
Prof. Emilie Olié (France), Prof. Jorge López-Castromán (Spain) and Prof. Carla Gramaglia (Italy) will share their knowledge and expertise on suicidal behaviours. The highly anticipated simulation sessions will be led by Dr. Cécile Hanon (France, EPA Committee Chair for Education), Dr. Defne Eraslan (Germany/Türkiye) and Dr. Julian Beezhold (United Kingdom, EPA Secretary General).
