Objectives and mission of the association

The mission of AzPA is to join efforts of psychiatrists for developing scientific knowledge and professional skills and improving quality of mental health care.
The objectives of AzPA include the followings:
• Mental Health promotion in Azerbaijan
• Human rights’ protection of mental health users, their families and carers
• Observance of the highest ethical standards in Psychiatry
• Improvement of mental health policy and services
• Development of evidence-based practice
• International cooperation
