EPA Ambassadors Programme

The European Psychiatric Association has put in place the EPA Ambassadors Programme with the goal to establish a database of information on mental health practices and perspectives from around Europe and from within different mental health disciplines.

EPA 2026 Congress

The 34^th European Congress of Psychiatry will take place on 28 – 31 March 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Our Congress motto is “Mental Health: Improving Care and Expanding Horizons”, emphasising the need to improve Mental Healthcare across all contexts and for every citizen living in Europe. “Expanding Horizons” underscores the importance of strengthening collaboration with allied professionals and including experts by experience and carers in the improvement of mental healthcare.

EPA Resource Centre

The EPA and its partners have compiled essential and openly accessible resources for mental health professionals and the general public on:

1. Resources on Ukraine (how to cope with trauma and humanitarian emergencies)
2. Resources on Türkiye (how to cope with mass trauma and natural disasters)
3. Resources on Covid-19 (how to cope with the mental health effects of health emergencies)

The Resource Centre will be continually updated with research, recommendations, and country-specific guidelines as more information is made available.

EPA statements and activities on the situation in Ukraine

With great worry and disbelief the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) and its Council of National Psychiatric Associations witnesses the unfolding situation in Ukraine. Representing more than 78,000 mental health care professionals all over Europe, including Ukraine and Russia, we remain as a medical association apolitical and neutral, but strongly condemn the use of violence and the act of war to solve political or other disputes.
