On-Demand Courses

What are EPA On-Demand Courses?

The EPA is pleased to offer its On-Demand Courses: a curated selection of high-quality CME courses drawn from recent EPA Congresses.

Developed by the EPA Committee on Education and inspired by the experience of the former Itinerant Courses, this initiative aims to expand access to EPA educational excellence and bring outstanding psychiatric training directly to national audiences across Europe.

EPA On-Demand Courses enable National Psychiatric Associations and selected EPA partner organisations to host recognised EPA courses in their own country, with content delivered by leading European experts and aligned with current clinical practice.

Why host an EPA On-Demand Course?

Hosting an EPA On-Demand Course is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Increase your visibility within the European psychiatric community
  • Enrich your educational offer with accredited, high-level content
  • Create direct connections between your members and leading European faculty
  • Provide up-to-date, practice-oriented training in an engaging and interactive format

It is also a way to bring the EPA’s educational mission closer to clinicians, trainees and mental health professionals at national level.

Who can apply?

Most EPA On-Demand Courses may be organised in collaboration with National Psychiatric Associations that are EPA members.

Requests from other close EPA partners may also be considered, depending on the nature of the collaboration and course availability.

Key practical information:

EPA On-Demand Courses are designed as interactive educational sessions with a clear pedagogical purpose and well-defined learning objectives.

They encourage active participation and include opportunities for discussion and informal exchange between the audience and the faculty.

Depending on the course selected, teaching methods may include:

  • Case presentations
  • Group discussions
  • Role-play or clinical vignettes
  • Visual materials
  • Handouts
  • Selected bibliography

The standard format is 180 minutes. Some courses may also be delivered fully virtually. In such cases, the duration must be reduced to 90 minutes. Hybrid delivery is not available. Please consult the course catalogue for the format available for each course.

Please note:

  • The total number of EPA-funded On-Demand Courses is limited to 5 per year
  • A maximum of 1 course per year may be organised with the same association
  • Courses must take place between June and December 2026
