Leadership Academy

In 2025, the Early Career Psychiatrists’ Committee launched the very first edition of the EPA Leadership Academy — a milestone initiative created to strengthen leadership capacity among psychiatric trainees and early career psychiatrists across Europe. The programme brought together 29 early career professionals for three days of intensive and in-person learning.
Building on the success of this inaugural edition, the Leadership Academy continues to grow as a dynamic space for developing the skills, confidence, and vision needed to take on leadership roles in clinical, academic, organisational, and advocacy settings.
2026 Leadership Academy
The second edition of the EPA Leadership Academy will take place at the Centre Culturel Saint-Thomas in Strasbourg, France, from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 September 2026.
Programme
The programme of the Leadership Academy will offer a dynamic and highly engaging learning experience, combining plenary lectures by renowned experts with interactive workshops designed to develop hands-on skills. Participants will engage in case discussions, role-playing exercises, and group activities, ensuring an immersive and practical approach to leadership training.
The programme will also include an exclusive library of online lectures delivered by external speakers and prominent EPA leaders as well as a visit to the European Parliament.
You can download the draft programme here. Please note that this is a preliminary version and may be subject to updates.
